I am currently teaching five courses this semester with more than 70 students. To track their progress, I currently have to review each course and section individually, which is very time-consuming. Ideally, I would like to consolidate key information for all students into a single Excel file—showing class attendance (tardies and absences), overall grades, and late and missing assignments.
I believe many instructors could benefit from this type of time-saving resource. It could even help the college as a whole by tracking overall GPAs down to the class and instructor level, allowing for earlier interventions before it’s too late in the semester to make meaningful changes.
In the past, I have worked with similar resources where Oracle was used to pull requested data directly from a central database. I’ve attached a sample of what the consolidated results might look like for reference.
If anyone on here knows a way Canvas can do this it would be of great help to me and other instructors.
Best regards,
Travis Reiss
