Sandbox for working with Canvas Data Analystics?

My institution is in the process of transitioning our online courses to Canvas this year, 2019. Next year, 2020, they expect to begin using Canvas Data Services as well--a tool of central interest to me.
Does Canvas offer a sandbox or other sort of environment in which someone such as myself can begin exploring the tools so as to be more versed in them when our campus makes it available?
In addition, there may be design considerations/decisions when it comes to the implementation of Data Services that it might be helpful to be exposed to now, through exploration in a sandbox/demo site, rather than after the initial implementation is already completed.
