Dears,
really sorry to open that point again but I saw a identical issue never answered in the past and I'm trying to push on it, the situation seems the same.
In fact I'm trying to publish One Drive content into canvas's articles page with an embeeded code.
For this reason I've followed the documentation and now I can see the Key development configurated, but when I look for the One Drive icon I can't see. So I saw that error, that maybe is the cause of missing:
"This placement requires Deep Link support by the vendor. Check with your tool vendor to ensure they support this functionality" (check attached file).
The one drive section or icon never appears.
We need to include embeeded documents on pages.
Please help me with this, it will very aprecited.
Thanks in advance,
Francesco
Hi @apez84,
Let me start off by sayint hat we do not have OneDrive integrated with Canvas at my institution, so I can't say with 100% certainty whether OneDrive supports embedding content in the Roch Content Editor (RCE). With that said, your screenshot has some oddities (like having the name of the tool as "Canvas". You're also looking at the "homework submission" placement, which is for assignments, not embedding in the RCE. Did you follow the instructions at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/lti/onedrive-lti?view=o365-worldwide to configure and then install/deploy the OneDrive LTI, or did you use some other method? Knowing exactly what you did might help get the question answered in a more accurate fashion.
Look forward to hearing back from you soon!

Dear Chris,
many many thanks for your help and suggestion, in fact I forgot to create app and now yes, is visible the One Drive icon on each post , check image attached "one drive"
Problem now is this 😊 : Canvas instructure refused to connect … check image attached "refused"
That was exactly why I tried to use the one drive app… to avoid Iframe security block ☹
Do you have some idea about a possible solution/workaround ?
Many thanks
Dear @chriscas ,
have some more suggestions to solve issue? We need to use One Drive files on our platform , many thanks for your help.
Francesco
Hi @apez84,
I may not be the best one to do more advanced troubleshooting, but I can ask a couple more questions to maybe try to come up with suggestions...
1 - Are you using Canvas hosted by Instructure, or an self-hosted open-source instance?
2 - Are you a Microsoft school (using MS email, office, etc with an agreement in place) or just using a free/personal OneDrive?
If you can answer those questions, it would really help point in the right direction for next steps.

Hi @chriscas ,
first of all many thanks for your kind help, then yes I answer to your questions :
1 - Are you using Canvas hosted by Instructure, or an self-hosted open-source instance?
Is self-hosted open-source instance
2 - Are you a Microsoft school (using MS email, office, etc with an agreement in place) or just using a free/personal OneDrive?
I'm using a Businesss M365 Account so One Drive Business
Thanks a lot again.
Hi @apez84,
Unfortunately, those answers do make this harder to troubleshoot. I'll move this post over to the Developers Group since you're using a self-hosted Canvas. It's also possible that the Microsoft LTI only works with their education accounts and not business ones, but again this is just a guess based on how some other vendor products work.
