Salute, dear community!
We have currently a Self-Hosted Canvas LMS T3-Type hosted in an EC2 AWS server. According to our stress test, the successfull rate is 84% over 500 simultaneous conections. Our server features are 32 GB and 8CPU, unlimited transferences and 640GB storage.
We are planning to have between 500 and 1000 users connected simultaneously, that's why I need your help with the following questions:
Thank you very much.
This is an interesting result, I have found that with 4 CPUs at 3.50GHz and 20 GB of memory that even with one or two users the performance is sluggish. The experience I have had is that performance is very dependent upon the amount of memory (with 8 and 16 GB of memory the system is busy swapping away). However, I have not done a systematic study. Have you looked at the individual containers to see if they are waiting to run or all running when you have 8 CPUs?
How did you generate load for testing the system?
