Hi developers group members!
As a Community Coach, I monitor the general Canvas Questions area and this Developers Group. I've noticed that the general Canvas Questions area gets a decent amount of questions about installing/operating/maintaining the open source version of Canvas. Some of those questions get moved into this group, but I'm wondering if this is really the best place.
I had an idea to potentially create a new "Open Source Canvas" group, but would like to get your input. Would you be interested in joining that group if it was created? Do you think it's needed, or would it be okay to put all those open source operational type questions in here? Any other comments?
We welcome any feedback!
-Chris
Personally I can sometimes offer help with the Canvas Developers stuff (API/LTI/etc), but as we just use the Instructure hosted Canvas instances am not normally much help with questions regarding people running debugging Canvas itself. That said it's always interesting to see what issues/ideas people have.
Side note@chris, Thanks for your continuous shuffling of questions from the general Canvas forum to the developer focused one when appropriate, it's much appreciated.👍
