With the introduction of tags, would we be able to potentially update the assign-to function to be able to exclude a tag (or individual students)?
This is a great question. I wanted to reply to acknowledge that I saw this and will be sharing with the greater team. Stay tuned for more info. Thanks for the feedback!
Hi @tle1!
Great question! While it's not on our roadmap currently this request has been coming up more frequently. We've shared this feedback also with the team that works on the Assign To component overall.
This feature would be extremely helpful! Without it, differentiation tags can easily be used to assign something extra to a student with an accommodation, but it's not easy to assign something different. For example, if the student needs a shortened assignment, I could give them the "shortened assignment" differentiation tag, make a new version of the assignment with shortened expectations, and assign it to that tag. But the final step would be to exclude the tag from the original longer assignment.
