assign differentiation tags based on group set>group name

Need to be able to click button to create a tag set based on group set name and then tag variants based on groups in that group set. Automatically tag student with their groupset-group name.  This opens up ability to assign work based on group!

This seems like the most common use of differentiation tags yet its not a built in feature. The bigger the class, the more helpful this would be.

Use scenario: Large class has student groups. Each group has a different assignment presentation date. Want one assignment with different due date for each group.

So you want to be able to create a tag set by combining multiple single tags? How would that be done automatically?

not quite -
Would like to be able to automatically build (one click) a Tag Set based on an existing Group Set. 
Example:
Group Set = Colors. Contains groups = Red-Group, Yellow-Group, Black-Group 
Click ONE button to create an equivalent Tag Set = Color Tag Set,
with tags = Red-Tag, Yellow-Tag, Black-Tag 
assigns every student in Red-group the Red-Tag, etc.

Since can't create assignment Assign To rules based on Group, but CAN on Tag, could have
Assign To Red-Tag, Due Sept 1
Assign To Yellow-Tag, Due Sept 8
Assign-To Black Due Sept 15

This would be useful for things like group presentations.

Remember there is a limit for tags inside a tag set (10?) while there is no limit for groups in a group set (or the limit is much larger than the tag set limit)

There's also the tag limit in a course as well which is an issue in its own right.
