The anonymised discussion function suddenly being disabled without any warning

The anonymised discussion function suddenly being disabled without any warning (not by me anyway) and the discussion board tab is no longer available for viewing (you can only delete the tab or pin it). So I have lost all my students comments on what works and failed to them about the module. Is there anyway to re-open the discussion board? or just for me to retrieve the posted comments?

The feature option for Discussion Redesign includes the anonymised discussion feature, where as the legacy discussions does not. It appears that the feature option has been disabled and locked at the root account level for your institution, likely by an account admin. If you can work with them to reenable, you should see the feedback from your students as expected. If your admin is not certain that they would like to re-enable for all, they can just unlock the feature so that you can turn it back on in your course(s).
