Asset Gap Report
The Asset Gap Report allows you to view all of the assets you have loaded into the Alignment System for a given Asset Type and any gaps, or missing assets. The Asset Gap Report lists every asset on the left, and then shows alignments to standards on the right. If there is a gap on the right, the asset does not have an alignment in that state.
Here is an example of an Asset Gap report:
Above, the asset VTestSci3 does not have any alignments in the state of Florida.
To request an Asset Gap Report:
1. Click the Reports menu to open the Manage Reports page.
2. Click the Asset Gap Report link. (As an alternative, you can choose Reports > Request Reports > Asset Gap Report.)
3. On the Request Reports > Asset Gap Report page, set your File Options.
Note: You can choose not to set parameters for your report output which will result in reporting all Subjects and Grade Levels.
- Format: Choose a file type from Excel, HTML, PDF, or Comma Separated.
- Layout: Choose None to use the default layout template or if you want the report to use a customized layout template, select it from the drop-down menu. See Creating Report Layouts for more information on layouts.
- Filename: Type a name for your report file. If you leave this blank, the system will automatically generate a name for your report.
- Split File: This allows you to separate the report By State, By Document Set, By Document, or By Course.
4. Set your Content Options. Decide if you want the report to include predicted standard alignments or any rejected standard alignments.
Deliver: Project or Custom.
- If you choose "Project," the asset set is determined by parameters of a particular project. Select the project from the drop-down menu. After you select a project, you have the ability to select which asset workflow status(es) you want included in the report.
- If you choose "Custom," you define the asset set. Select the assets for your report. If you choose "All," the report will reflect all assets. If you choose "Custom Set," choose from previously defined sets or click [build new set] to build a new asset set. If you choose "General Set," select the asset type from the drop-down menu. For "Filter Tags," do not make a selection if you want to include all alignment tags in your report. If you are looking for a specific tag or assets aligned without a tag, then make a selection from the list.
5. Set the Display Options.
"Show hierarchy for each standard" generates one column for each level in the hierarchy of the reported standard. For example, if the standard is in the fourth level of the document, there will be four columns - one for each level.
You can type your own header prefix in the given text box.
You can choose to prefix each standard with its State ID. Without prefixing, the State ID appears only in the labeled column:
With prefixing, the State ID appears in front of the text at each standard level (shown in red for demonstration purposes):
The "Only show gaps" option causes the report to show only standards at the deepest level and only those that have no assets aligned to them.
6. Click Schedule to request your report.
