Heads-Up: Rubric Layout Not Sticking in Enhanced Rubrics? Here's the Fix

Some folks using Enhanced Rubrics have let us know about an issue where the selected rubric layout (Horizontal or Vertical) doesn’t stick when moving between students in SpeedGrader. Even if you pick a layout you like, it flips back to the traditional view when you go to the next student.

This issue has already been fixed in the updated version of SpeedGrader, also known as Modernized SpeedGrader. So if you’re seeing this problem, there’s a solution.

What You Can Do

Starting June 21, there will be a new course-level feature flag called Performance and Usability Updates for SpeedGrader

Turning on this flag will switch you to the updated SpeedGrader and fix the layout issue for good.

If You're Already in the Modernized SpeedGrader Early Access Program (EAP)

Good news: you don’t have to wait. Just go to your course-level feature flags and turn on the one currently labeled Modernized SpeedGrader (we’re updating the name to Performance and Usability Updates for SpeedGrader soon). Once that’s on, your chosen rubric layout will stay put as you move from student to student.
