Many of my students created their account using the G (Google account). They have never set a password and I am concerned that they would not be able to sign in. At this point they cannot type in their Google gmail and a password and login. They seem to only be able to login with the "G" button that is going away. I saw that they should still be able to login with the social links, but the image shown in the announcement does not clarify.

Your students will still be able to login with their google accounts when the update is released. I will attach an image below of what this will look like with the update, so feel free to check that out.
Of course, if your students experience any issues signing in after the update occurs, never hesitate to reach out to Canvas Support directly!
