Importing course into FFT canvas. Says I cannot exceed 249.9 MB. Can I delete my grades to decrease?

Hi @LEAHKENZY ...

I don't think grades would import from one Canvas environment to another.  Grades are associated with students in your course, and even when you copy from course to course in the same Canvas environment, you aren't copying grades from course to course...only course content.  In Free-for-Teacher, you should have a max of 500 MB per course...not 250 MB.

Do you have other files within your course "Files" that you can identify that are large that you might not need in the Free-for-Teacher version of your course?

Check out the screenshot attached.  Any idea why it is saying 249.9MB instead of 500MB? My course is just under 500. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the screenshot. That is odd it is giving the error at 249mb as it should be 500. It can depend on how much content you already have in the current course prior to upload. If it is empty, then you should not be getting this error. If there is some content, it would need to be downsized so that the new course import has enough room. As mentioned above, exporting/importing courses does not bring over grades and there is a separate process for exporting/importing gradebooks.
