Instructor Account - Disassociate

I accidentally added my new institution's email to an account associated with an old institution for the Free for Teacher Canvas. I have since removed my new email but now I am not given permission to create a Free for Teacher Canvas account using that email because it says I already have an account (even though that email is no longer linked to my initial account). How do I disassociate the new email with the old Canvas account so that I can create a new account with the new email?

If you wouldn't mind emailing community@instructure.com and explaining your situation like you did here in the Community, that would be great! That way, the process of changing your primary email for your FFT account will be completed much faster!
