I have read over other similar posts but found no answer. I am not new to Canvas but new to FFT Canvas.
Thank you for your help!

Hi @KJR ,
Thank you for posting about this topic on the Instructure Community! I'm very sorry that you're having a hard time enrolling your students into your new Canvas course! I'm going to try to give some advice to help you get started using Canvas as easily and as soon as you can.
What I always recommend doing, is having your students do the enrolling themselves, and not do anything as the teacher, especially when it comes to free for teacher. I'm a fellow free for teacher user myself, and have found this is the easiest way to get things done.
I find that the easiest way to do this is to send your students the url with your join code that you can find in your course's settings. It will look something like this: https://k12.instructure.com/enroll/JOINCODEHERE
Usually, when students click on the link, they will prompted to either sign-in, or sign up to join the course. From there, have your students create their accounts and they should automatically be enrolled upon sign-up or sign-in. Speaking of sign-in, if the students never got the email you were talking about, have them check their spam or their recently deleted. Some messages might've also been blocked by your school / district, and if that's the case that would cause that issue as well.
If for whatever reason your course's enrollment link doesn't work, then the last-resort option would be to copy your entire course and have a new join code and course ID. Free for teacher provides you the ability to copy your entire course (this will not include enrollments, student grades, etc., however does include modules, assignments, pages, etc.), and you can create a new join code in there from your settings and have your students join that course. That would be a last-resort solution.
Do these sound like possible solutions for your scenario? I hope this helped you out in a way. Please always feel free to respond with any additional questions or concerns! We're here to help.
All the best,
Noah

Noah,
Thank you for this information. This is very helpful. In my case, I will be making a copy of my course and starting over with students signing up with the "Join Code." The problem above was just one of many issues (I created some of them) I have had launching my FFT Canvas in my classroom. I will try this solution and will provide additional feedback if needed. Again, I really appreciate your advice and solutions for my issue above.
@KJR Of course, always happy to help! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any additional questions or concerns that you have.
Best,
Noah
but i am a student
Ohhh I apologize - I understand.
Let's start off here, did you successfully complete your Canvas account registration? You would've gotten email from Canvas with a link to finish registration.
Upon completing your registration, there are a couple of things you can do to join the course. The first thing you can do is ask your teacher for a join code, and they can send you a link with the join code from their course's settings. From there, you should be able to access the course. They can also add you from your email in the People tab of their course. They will need to click + People, then in the email address option of the pop-up menu they will enter the email address associated with your account, and then you should be able to join after they invite you. HOWEVER, if for some reason your email isn't valid, have them enter your email in the Login ID option instead in the pop-up window, and see if that works instead.
The last thing your teacher can do is if allowed, make the course public in their course settings, then enable the join this course button as well. Then they can send you the link to the course's home-page, and you can load the course in (when you're logged into your account), and then you can click the Join this Course button located at the top right.
I hope this helps, please feel free to reach back out with any additional questions or concerns! I am happy to help.

@OliviaBertone I'm sorry, I just also noticed you're having trouble with sending a message to your teacher - if you're still experiencing this issue, you may need to rejoin the course using one of the methods I provided in my other message, or wait until a later time to send it. I know there was an issue earlier this week about sending teachers an email - I can reach out to the support team and see what's going on.
but when i try sending my techers a email it says eror to this covesasion so what shold i do
Hi @OliviaBertone ,
Please ensure that your teachers have signed up and have verified their account on Canvas / completing their registration before being added. If you try inviting a teacher that hasn't signed up for a free account (if you're using FFT), then it won't work and they'll have to make their account first.
I hope this helps, let me know if they do have their own accounts and need further assistance!
