Hello! I need a way to see analytics or track how many page views/hits I have on my public module. I am not requiring my audience for the module to create an account or share their personal information, so the only way I can think of tracking how much attention it is is via page "hits"/views.
I have a Canvas FFT account. Is it possible to see the page views still without a paid account?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi there @xxyang !
You can enable Course Analytics within your course on FFT under the Course Feature Options.
While the Course Analytics tool will allow you to view page views (how many times a page was viewed, etc), I am unsure if it will count page views not associated with any accounts. In fact, on FFT, you cannot make your course fully public without assistance from Canvas support, did you by chance reach out to support to make your course public?
I hope to hear from you soon!

Hello! Sorry, I didn't notice the response.
Yes, I was able to get support to make my course public. I don't see a very clear answer under "Course Feature Options". Is it 'Course Statistics'?
Thank you,
Hi @xxyang ,
I just realized, it's already enabled by default.
You can locate the tool by clicking "Course Analytics" via your course's navigation bar. If you do not see that link, it is disabled and will need to be enabled under the navigation settings.
While course statistics will provide you with a general overview, course analytics can provide you with more specific information.
Thank you for the reminder to adjust the course settings.
I know others have accessed my public course, but I don't see anything appear within the course analytics or statistics. Is this because they don't have a student account, so public views can't be documented?
Public views can't be documented since those users do not have official Canvas accounts for Canvas to pull data from to put into the analytics.
That means they'd have to create an account if you'd like to view analytics.
