I sent invites out to my student to register for class using the free version. All went well except one student. He got logged in initially and now his name and User ID are all numbers generated by Canvas. His email is still connected, but he seems to have forgotten his password so he cannot log in. When he clicks forgot password it tells him the system administrator should have given him the password.... we do not have one of those - it is the free version. Can someone help - PLEASE!!!!!

Hi, please send me a private message and I will help fix this. If you go to your settings you will see options to enable Private Messenger, and then you can send me the course link and the student. thanks.

I am not seeing a setting to enable Private Messenger. Now it is Monday morning and have had no coffee so I could be totally missing it, but I really do not see it.
