Tutor Notes

Since I tutor students individually, I need to have a place to type quick notes about our sessions each time we meet.  Is there a way to do this within Canvas?

Hi @LoriGoldstein ...

There is a "Notes" column that can be enabled in the Gradebook for students, but it's not tied to one specific assignment.  I'd encourage you to take a look at this documentation:

Hi Chris - thank you.  I did see that, but it is limited to 255 characters.  Not enough to take session notes after each lesson.  I was hoping to find something that allowed more notes, but I may have to use this for now.  Thank you.

You can also attach a file in the comments section? A little clunky, but as a stop gap?

Ultimately, I didn't use the file suggestion, although that could work.  

Since I do private tutoring, there is no discussion in the group.  Therefore, I created a Discussion for each student that only I can see.  That will work well enough for now.  Thanks everyone!
