Outside evaluators, secure access, and internal access?

We are looking for a way to use our Canvas instance to allow outside evaluators access to individual student rubrics. The outside evaluator (think: supervisor in an internship setting) would be allowed access to only one student's evaluation rubric. The student would also be able to see (but not edit) this evaluation. In addition, multiple university admin/faculty would need to be able to see and possibly edit. Any ideas for how to do this in Canvas?

We are doing something similar to what you described for our dual credit portfolios. I setup a sub-account for the coordinator and gave him and his assistant sub-account admin access.  He created a template course shell with assignments with rubrics with outcomes attached. His assistant manually created the courses by the course being evaluated. The template course was copied into the course shells. Then in each course a section was created for each dual credit instructor being evaluated. We have checked the option that each section can only interact with their own section so people list is limited by section. This works well since we are not using the discussion tool. This was the first semester we did this so it was a manual process. We are looking to automate the process the next time we have do a portfolio review. You might interested in this 2014 InstructureCon session, Templatizing Courses and Leveraging the Magic of the Canvas API (Travis Thurston and Kenneth Larsen).  I really don't know what to tell you about giving people outside your organization access to Canvas. This can vary depending on how you are setup with your student information system.
