Adding time to a timed assessment

It would be nice to add additional time to canvas quizzes that have a time limit. For example, my students were testing when we had a surprise tornado drill. I spoke with at least one person on the Canvas support chat and they told me there was no way for my students to get those 10 minutes back. It would have been really nice to be able to add time to an already assigned assessment.

Which quiz tool do you use, Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes? Also, had your students reached the quiz time limit already or were you hoping to add additional time to the time they had remaining?
