In this Impact release, new content is released for campaigns and walkthroughs to get started with Canvas as well as updated content to Blackboard and Walkthrough templates. Updated features are added to the Account Security Two-factor Authentication and in the Impact Dashboard add new field options are available to Keyboard-only users. Additionally, an accessibility update is made to the drop-down menus in the Impact Dashboard.

Understanding the purpose of the various tools inside Canvas will ensure users can leverage them to their full potential. These campaigns are extremely useful if you have just migrated to Canvas, have new instructors or students starting at your institute, or Canvas isn’t being fully leveraged.

Note: Once Campaign templates are imported as a draft, they are local. This means users can customize them to meet their needs including deleting messages, removing, and adding support articles.

Walkthrough: Gettings Started with Canvas

The most efficient and effective way to present course content within Canvas is by using Modules. This collection of Walkthroughs, wrapped into one campaign, offers step-by-step guidance to instructors to create quizzes, discussions, and assignments and organize them inside Modules.

Broken articles are fixed and outdated articles are deleted from the Out of the Box Ultra Support Center.

Note: If users have imported a campaign that has broken articles, they will need to re-import the template to benefit from these changes.

The workflow of all Walkthroughs can be viewed by clicking on the hyperlink within the Campaign Purpose. This will redirect to a video.

In Account Security, wording changes are made to the Two-factor Authentication description.

Impact Dashboard

Routing and Availability and Custom User Groups: Add New Fields

In the Impact Dashboard, Routing and Availability and Custom User Groups navigation are improved for Keyboard-only users when adding new fields.

The Impact Dashboard drop-down menus are accessible to Keyboard-only users and Screenreader users.

Fixed Bugs

• The tooltip for mapping Custom User Groups CSV displays the accurate user count from the Custom User Groups table.
• In Users and Permissions, access can be revoked for both new and existing users.
