Impact Release Notes (2023-06-27)

In this Impact release, new content for Walkthroughs, Monitors, Contexts, and Campaigns is released. Also, video links in the Impact Support Center and campaigns have been updated to align with the Canvas Community's transition from Vimeo to Studio. The Insights redesign and Impact Dashboard are updated. Accessibility updates are implemented for the Impact Dashboard and Messages.

Studio Video Links

Canvas Community recently moved from hosting videos on Vimeo to hosting videos on Studio. All video links within Impact are updated to ensure they remain fully functional within the Impact Support Center and campaigns.

To locate the monitor follow the path under the Instructor Report > Canvas set-up > Course Management > Export course content > Create export

Modules page:

Publish all button

To locate the monitor follow the path under the Instructor Report > Elements of a course > Modules > Bulk publish modules
Edit pages page To locate the monitor follow the path under the Instructor Report > Elements of a course > Pages > Edit pages > Edit courses page

Insights Redesign

Blog Impact Insights Redesign is Live

The Insights area in the Impact Dashboard is redesigned. The redesign updates all insights screens including user activity, tool adoption reports, course activity reports, and our other report types.

Chart Legends

Related Ideas [Campaign Messages] Increase Contrast Between "Users" and "Clicks" in Message Insights Graph

Chart legends are unified across messages, walkthroughs, and article insights displaying consistent icons and color codes.

Impact Dashboard

Throughout the Impact Dashboard, table header cells are no longer labeled as groups and the screen reader navigates through the table providing understandable content for the user.

Messages

On the Messages page, the focus is kept on the element in the Connected Contexts section for Keyboard-only users.

On the Messages page in the details of a message, the provided description is read by the screenreader. If no description is provided the screenreader provides the message ‘Description. No description on this message’.

 

Fixed Bugs

 

  • In the Impact Dashboard, the preview of font, text size, and line spacing remains consistent on the Canvas LMS when composing a message or article.
  • After creating a reporting template and exporting the CSV file, active users, non-active users, and data displays appropriately.
  • CSV exports of active and non-active users in the Impact Dashboard and Canvas QA LTI 1.3 displays appropriately.
