[Campaign Messages] Increase Contrast Between "Users" and "Clicks" in Message Insights Graph
This idea has been developed and deployed to Impact |
The contrast between the "Users" and "Clicks" lines on the Message Insights graph can be difficult to distinguish between. For example, in our team's weekly meetings, people frequently mix up the lines that represent clicks and users, leading to inaccurate insights on the performance of a message's call to action. WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for non-text contrast recommends a ratio of at least 3:1 against adjacent colors, whereas these elements have a 1.5:1 ratio.
Using a different color or allowing the color scheme to be customized would help make the graph more readable and increase accessibility for the Impact product. Allowing the colors to be customized by the end user would likewise allow people with color blindness to choose a color palette that works for them. At a minimum, the color of one of these data series should be adjusted to increase legibility.
