At the University of Washington, many faculty grade all assignments on a 4.0 grade point scale. While Canvas allowed custom display grades, the user experience of setting them up was confusing and time consuming. Surveys of faculty showed that most continued to use Excel and the UW’s homegrown gradebook in addition to Canvas. UW-IT worked with professional services to improve 4.0 grading at the assignment level. We will demo the resulting LTI app.
