Dear Community,
Any one using Intelligent insights now?
I need to check with you on one particular view: Submissions Breakdown.
As shown in the attached screeshot, It talks about four breakdowns: ontime, missing, late, and excused.
I am wondering how these breakdowns are achieved, particularly "submissions excused".
Any advice, suggestions, or guesses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
V
Hi, @venkat5121! It looks like this is an Admin Analytics chart, under the "Students" tab.
In Admin Analytics (and Intelligent Insights!), late, missing, and excused assignments are calculated the same way they are in the Canvas grade book. If a teacher has marked an assignment as "excused," it will show up as excused in the grade book and in Admin Analytics. You might not be able to see it in this pie chart because it's such a small percentage of total submissions. If you click on "Submissions on time" in the chart legend, it will de-select that variable and you will likely see the number of submissions excused appear.
Does that answer your question?
Carly - Thank you!
My question is more on, within the submissions data-set are there any fields that would capture what a teacher has marked in the gradebook, the statuses "excused", "on-time", "missed", "late" etc... or is it calculations using due_at, submitted_at, submission_status etc...
