High School Library Presence in Canvas

Greetings,
I work in a high school library (9-12) and am working on our library presence in Canvas. I have searched in the community and much of what I have found for libraries in Canvas is geared to higher ed. I admit I am a visual learner and am struggling a bit with the layout. Would anyone be willing to share their layout with me? Is the library a course on it's own, do you use modules, assessments? I would be happy to see screenshots. Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend.

Wish I could share the HS Library course that I have but the homepage has login information for students.

Basically, how the course is being used is to share information with students like what programs they can access online with login information.  They also share information for after school clubs and lots of information about college application process.

There is a landing page (homepage) that has buttons that either link out to a website or a page created in Canvas with files and information.

This course would be a course of it's own.  Best thing to do is to have announcements available and maybe modules depending on how you want to organize the contents.  But all other menu options are not really needed.  But again that all depends on preference.

 We are starting that process, as well. I was imagining a homepage presence, similar to the content that has been on the school website for years. Have you decided on a format? Have any tips that would work for us as we head in that direction?

Great topic.   We (9-12) currently have a library website (independent of Canvas), which you are welcome to visit. The URL should be on my profile, on the Academic tab. If you can't find it, just send me a message.  And then just this year, our librarians have started to integrate into Canvas courses adding resources for research projects, etc as requested.  We also put a redirect link to "Library Resources" within in course menu to direct them to the resource guides, etc on the library website and embed as much as we can right within the Canvas course.  I'm happy to share via a Skype session sometime if you are interested.  It's not much, but it may be helpful to see what I mean.  Our goal was to eliminate the students having to go multiple places while eliminating duplicate work for the librarians.

I cannot make them public, but let me see what I can do about making a couple of gifs or shorts screen captures to show you what it looks like.  It's really just embedding what is on our public library website into our Canvas courses, and then some...

And as we are just getting started on our end, I would love to get ideas and examples from other schools so we can continue building on our end!  Our Librarians are excited!
