[ARCHIVED] Key word search not available in Canvas

Hello,

When searching for a course on Canvas, it will only return results for courses containing exact phrases. In other words, key word search is not available. For example, if a course name is "Online Algebra 2 Spring 2018 Sem 1", and the search term is "Algebra Sem", no results will be returned. Is there any way around this? Can key word search be a feature in a future Canvas release?

 @nschutz , welcome to the Canvas Community! Some of what you’re experiencing might be related to how your school set up its name scheme for your courses. I know I can normally find the courses I’m looking for without too much of a hassle. Yet, if you would like to suggest this as a new feature idea in Canvas you can do so in the https://community.canvaslms.com/community/ideas?sr=search&searchId=ab4d0a87-0ecf-4887-8b02-c9822cf19...‌ area of the Community. If you do create an idea for this could you provide the link to it here on your post so people can easily find it?
