Media uploaded through the record media function is not saving the file with an extension
This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 11/13/23.
When recording media either through the Record Media section in the RCE or as part of a submission comment, it is saved to the User/Course Uploaded Media folder without a file extension.
Instead it should have an appropriate extension added.
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Prerequisite: Published course.
Go to a place with the RCE, such as creating a page and make a new recording using the Record Media option.
Once the recording is saved, go to the course Uploaded Media to view the file.
Notice there is no file extension added to the saved file and downloading the file doesn't have a file extension either.
