[OPEN] Captcha is inconsistently loading


Engineers are currently investigating the issue.


Captcha is regularly not loading when students are selecting to create a new account when using a course registration link.

Expected Behavior

Captcha should load every time so that students are able to properly enroll into the course


No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

Prerequisites: Allow for self registration within account settings, enable captcha in authentication settings

  1. Create a course within an account

  2. Edit that course, and within the course settings, enable “Let students self-enroll by sharing with them a secret URL or code”

  3. Copy and paste that secret URL into an incognito window

  4. Select “I am a new user”

  5. Notice that captcha inconsistently loads, may require opening another tab/refreshing
