[OPEN] Editing from the Pretty HTML Editor jumps to the top

Canvas

Engineers are currently investigating the issue.

Description

When typing to edit in the Pretty HTML Editor, if you are not at the very top or bottom, it causes the page to jump to the top of the HTML view.

Expected Behavior

Instead it should keep the position in the code it was in.

Workaround

Use the raw HTML Editor to edit.

Steps to Reproduce

Prerequisite: A course.

  1. Create a page with greater than 25 lines of HTML code.

  2. Switch to the Pretty HTML Editor.

  3. Scroll down but not all the way to the bottom and select to edit a line that is greater than what is in view.

  4. Notice that as you start to type, it jumps to the top of the HTML code view.
