[OPEN] If a user deletes a message from their inbox, they are removed as a recipient on the sender's end.

Engineers are currently investigating the issue.
Description
If a user sends a message to a group of users, and one of those receiving users deletes the message from their inbox, the user who sent the message will no longer see the receiving user listed as a recipient on that message.
Checking the conversation message in the api as the sender still shows all of the original recipients however.
Expected Behavior
After sending a message the sender should not have a recipient removed from the sent message in the conversations UI if the recipient deletes the message from their inbox.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Prereq: Be enrolled in a course with multiple other users enrolled and have permissions to send messages to multiple people.
-
In a Canvas course create a Conversation group message and send it to 5 users in the course.
-
After the message is sent, act as one of the 5 receiving users and navigate to your conversations.
-
Delete the message they received from their inbox.
-
Acting as the first user that sent the message again, navigate to the Inbox and filter by sent messages to view the original sent message.
-
Notice that the user who deleted it is now no longer appearing in the list of recipients.
