Description

Users who are logged in under the root account in a Consortia environment are unable to see the content of the Files page in a course; it generates an error in the UI stating “There was an error loading files. Pull to refresh to try again.”

Expected Behavior

Users logged in at the root account in a consortia should be able to see the Files if enabled in Course Navigation for courses in nested accounts of the consortia.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Canvas course in an account in a consortia that is not the root of the Consortia with at least one teacher

  2. Add files to the course and ensure that “Files” tab is accessible via course navigation

  3. Save and publish the course

  4. Log in as the teacher on the Canvas Teacher mobile app in the root Instance

  5. Navigate to the course and select “Files” - see that the Files generate an error
