Description
RCE media uploads still utilizing the older media comment format or video’s embedded into text entry submissions from a mobile device are displaying a black blank screen instead of playing the video.
Expected Behavior
The videos should be playing even if they don’t use the new format
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Disclaimer: This will illustrate the behavior but most of the embeds that exist in this format are from a few years ago before we changed the standard way we embed media.

Upload a media file to the page

Copy down the data_media_id parameter from the html view for the video

Find the txt file attached to this Jira and copy the text out into another RCE html view or just lower on the same page.

Replace the “your_media_id” with the data_media_id you copied and paste the html into the rce and save the page.

Notice the old format using class="instructure_inline_media_comment video_comment" fails to play
