Exploring the Assessment Dashboard Experience in Mastery Connect

One of the exciting new features released in Mastery Connect this year has been the all new assessment dashboard experience experience for teachers, school admins, and district admins!

Assessment Dashboard for Teachers

In addition to the various reports available to teachers, the newly added Assessment Dashboard provides teachers with the ability to see high level data, utilize filters, and save dashboards. Below are the steps to access the Assessment Dashboard for teachers, along with some key features:

Accessing the Assessment Dashboard

  1. Access the assessment reports
  2. When viewing the Item Analysis report, select the Assessment Dashboard button

Key Features

  • Utilize the filter option to focus on specific data points. You can filter by:
    • Standard
    • School Year
    • Tracker
    • Demographics
  • Rename and save a dashboard to easily refer back to it
  • Assessment Compare - compare multiple assessment results

Assessment Dashboard for School Administrators

In addition to the various reports available to school leaders, the newly added Assessment Dashboard provides the ability to see school level data on common assessments, utilize filters, and save dashboards. Below are the steps to access the Assessment Dashboard for school admins, along with some key features:

Accessing the Assessment Dashboard

  1. Access the Admin tab 
  2. Select Assessments
  3. Choose either Benchmark or Formative
  4. Locate an assessment
  5. Select the Reports option

Key Features

  • Utilize the Filter option to focus on specific data points. School admins can filter by:
    • Standard
    • School Year
    • Teacher
    • Tracker
    • Demographics
  • Rename and save a dashboard to easily refer back to it
  • Assessment Compare - compare multiple assessment results

Assessment Dashboard for District Administrators

In addition to the various reports available to district leaders, the newly added Assessment Dashboard provides district personnel with the ability to see high level data on district wide assessments, utilize filters, and save dashboards. Below are the steps to access the Assessment Dashboard for district admins, along with some key features:

Accessing the Assessment Dashboard

  1. Access the Admin tab 
  2. Select Assessments
  3. Choose either Benchmark or Formative
  4. Locate an assessment
  5. Select the Reports option

Key Features

  • Utilize the Filter option to focus in on specific data points. District admin can filter by:
    • Standard
    • School
    • School Year
    • Demographics
  • Rename and save a dashboard to easily refer back to it
  • Assessment Compare - compare multiple assessment results

Pro Tips: 

For all users:

  • Use the Expanded view when you are using a small screen or want to see more in one view

For District Admin:

  • Teachers can only access the Assessment Dashboard if Secure Benchmarking mode is turned off
  • To view the Assessment Dashboard for a specific school use the School filter option
  • When viewing the Overview Dashboard, clicking on an assessment from this view will open the District Assessment Dashboard. 

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Assessment Dashboard allows users at all levels to see assessment analytics in an organized and clear way. The filters can be used to adjust the data view point, and dashboards can be saved for later consideration!
