When searching the entire Instructure community, I found a single post by a moderator that indicated you could assign more than one standard to an assessment item. In that post, the moderator said that after selecting the first standard you want to align with the assessment question, that an "add another" button would appear. Well, I can't find that button and the thread is old enough that I don't think it's being monitored.
Does anyone know if or how to add more than one standard to an assessment item? For example, I teach CTE Health Science (5550) and Sports Medicine (5555). The two standards groups have quite a bit of overlap, and I'd like to use some assessment items in both trackers (without having to recreate the items that overlap). Basically, I'd like to author assessment items that are aligned to standards in the two areas. Is this possible?
You can add an additional standard to an item if the standard exists in the subject, core, and class that you chose for the item. You can't add a standard that comes from a different standard set. It looks like you have two standard sets that you would like to use for the same item.
These are the instructions to add multiple standards to an item from the same standard set.
Select a subject, core, class and standard for the item from the drop-down menus.
To create an item that aligns with multiple standards, click the Add Another Standard icon and add the additional information.
Hi.
Respectfully, this solution does not address the problem. While it is true that you can assign more than one standard to a question in a bank, when you add that question from the bank to an assessment, the tool forces you to choose ONE of those standards. It will not let you choose both of them. Is there a work-around for this problem? Thank you.
