Are we able to pull attendance data from this tool at the account or sub-account level or only at the course level? We have a unique grades 9-12 configuration where we mark attendance at the site and district levels instead of individual courses. We are currently in the process of getting Managed Canvas Data setup via Redshift if that makes a difference.

@DaleSimpson, currently, there is not a way to pull reports on Online Attendance at the account or sub-account level.  You might be able to set up these reports using Canvas Data/Redshift, using some of the same data points that go into the Online Attendance report: page views, discussion posts, assignment completion, etc.

@DaleSimpson  Once you have Redshift set up you'll be able to create a query that lists by subaccount/ course/ assignment the student submissions and various details including scores, timestamps and where nulls exists.  i.e. no submission. Be sure to review the schema as the workflow states are key here.

I am curious if the week number shown with the highlighting will eventually represent the week of the course, i.e. Week 6 or Week 10, for example.  I suppose that would need to be based on the Term or Course Start Date noted in the settings.

Or what does the 131 represent?  If we calculate that out it is actually 2.7 years. That is one long course...  😀

Hi, @Jeff_F ! Good question. The week number does represent the week of the semester. This is one of our test courses — one that we've kept going for quite a while to accumulate test data — so it has an atypical number of weeks 🙂

Does this new tool in any way connect to the Roll Call/Attendance feature that is already in Canvas?

The Online Attendance dashboard/data does not connect with the Roll Call tool.

Thank you for the enhancements with the Online Attendance tool. We would appreciate if we are able to see what activities or learning material students accessed from this interface, to get a better picture of the student's interactions in the course site
