Availability of API for Managing Item Banks in Canvas New Quizzes

Hi,

I am reaching out to inquire about the availability of an API for managing Item Banks in Canvas's New Quizzes. Our team is interested in automating the creation and administration of Item Banks to streamline our assessment processes.

Could anyone share insights on whether such an API currently exists or if there are plans for its development in the near future? Any details about the anticipated release timeline would be greatly appreciated.

@jdurancal  I went over to the Canvas REST API documentation here https://canvas.instructure.com/doc/api/new_quiz_items.html and found these statements: 

• BankItem: bank items are quiz questions or other items that are part of an item bank. For now, bank items can only be retrieved with the API. They must be created and updated via the UI.
• BankEntry: bank entry items allow for a random selection of items from an associated bank to be included in the quiz. For now, bank items can only be retrieved with the API. They must be created and updated via the UI.

After not seeing anything pertinent to 'New Quizzes Canvas API Item Banks' in the Canvas Developers Group, I went over to the Product Roadmap and found an entry that isn't very descriptive.
