New Quiz Submission - non-truncated essay responses

Having implemented Canvas recently, we decided not to use Classic Quizzes, given the general feeling that it is on the way out. However, I am finding it is not possible to access full responses for student submissions.

I have tried through GraphQL and even the undocumented api/quiz/v1 REST API endpoint, but no luck.

I see that on the New Quizzes Hub, there is a line in the "Next" tab about the New Quizzes submissions API allowing access to student test data... Can anyone tell me if this will include full responses, including essay questions. They get truncated in csv downloads. Also, is there any info on which quarter of 2026 this might be available.
