The Return Button in New Quizzes

Sometimes in Canvas a thing will seem so obvious to me that I wonder what I must be missing.
As currently programmed:
"New Quizzes [will] direct to the 'Quizzes' index page when you click 'Return.' But if Quizzes are hidden, the Return button will take you to Assignments i...( e.g.: https://myschool.instructure.com/courses/#######/quizzes )
It seems apparent that the smoother workflow would instead take you to the Assignment page for the Quiz you have just been working on. (e.g.: https://myschool.instructure.com/courses/#######/assignments/#######/edit?quiz_lti)
Why does it not work that way? Could it? Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide.
