Use of MathQuill in creating answers (teacher)

Some teachers working more with New Quizzes were creating some categorization and matching types. They could use the MathQuill in the stem, but not in the possible answers. This makes it so the answers are in different formats than the students are used to. I couldn't find a way to get them into the possible answers that kept the same formatting. Ideas?

I have the same problem, and that's so uncomfortable for me as a student. My teacher is trying to make lessons more enjoyable in this way, but such issues make them harder. I don't really like math so often use this source https://plainmath.net/27270/you-have-12-to-by-five-goldfish-for-your-new-fish-tank-write-and-solve-i... to get help with some tasks. But I like my teacher and I help her with some questions related to canvas, so maybe someone has any suggestions?

I certainly understand the need of wanting MathQuill in both the creation of the question and the students being able to answer the question. The good news is that this should be addressed very shortly when the RCE box (similar to what you have in classic quizzes and assignments) gets implements to New Quizzes. The implementation will be divvied out into phases and the first phase should be started before the end of the year.
