Welcome to the Lucid for Education Learning Suite. Here you can motivate students to actively participate in the entire learning process, beginning with initial ideas and information all the way to demonstrating what they’ve learned, no matter where students are located.

First, we begin with Lucidspark. As one educator said, “it’s Jamboard mixed with Padlet, injected with steroids.” Lucidspark is a robust collaborative ideation tool, a digital whiteboard in essence.

Next, Lucidchart offers hundreds of editable, ready-to-use dynamic graphic organizers to help students process, organize, and filter new information.

And Lucidpress is a multi-media publishing tool with hundreds of pre-made templates from flyers to newspapers. The digital version of Microsoft Publisher and easier than Adobe Indesign, making it possible for students to professionally demonstrate what they know.

Together,  Lucidspark, Lucidchart, and  Lucidpress form the Lucid for Education Learning Suite, the only suite that provides a collaborative, comprehensive, personalized learning journey for students, all in one place.

At Lucid, we are committed to helping all users harness the power of Lucidspark, Lucidchart, and Lucidpress to collaborate inclusively. With built-in features that empower users to create accessible documents, Lucidchart and Lucidpress can help foster inclusive environments, as well as help you comply with federal and local mandates.

Data encryption All data is transferred between user devices and Lucid servers using up to 256-bit encryption via TLS 1.2 and a worldclass certificate provider. Lucid Software also employs encryption at rest to protect the secrecy of all data persisted by the application. All databases, database-backed caches, and other components with persisted data have their disks initialized with random data using a high-entropy, random data source. During use, the disks encrypt their contents with 256-bit AES with ESSIV. The cryptographic keys are protected by a pair of redundant passphrases stored in separate environments.
Countries of data storage United States
Data storage method Cloud (Lucid applications are powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the industry’s leading provider of secure computing infrastructure).
Data retention policy See the Lucid for Education Privacy Policy
Incident management program, policy, and testing Lucid Software uses a multidimensional control framework to ensure that security is maintained and continually improved. Company leaders support security and provide a positive control environment. Risk assessment is performed by both internal and external system reviews. Security information and objectives are openly shared among team members, and security measures are continually monitored and improved.
Disaster recovery and business continuity plan and testing Customer documents and related data are backed up hourly to multiple physical environments across availability zones in encrypted format. The Lucid Software operations team performs regular validations of these snapshots to ensure that they can be used for restoration in the event of an emergency
Security Standard Certificates SOC 2 (Type I and Type II), PCI, Privacy Shield
Third party testing and security controls practices Lucid Software hires a third party to perform penetration testing. These security professionals analyze Lucid applications for vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top 10 threats and WASC threat classes. These analyses are performed semi-annually using industry-leading automated tools and extensive manual testing.
