As we wrap up Quarter 3, also known as our "Peak Season," we reflect on an incredibly busy and exciting time for our team. This period marks the beginning of the academic year for many of our customers, and it’s always a time of high activity and collaboration across the organization. Our primarily US-based team has been working hard to meet the demands of the season, and we’re thrilled to have welcomed new global team members, adding fresh energy and perspectives to our efforts. Read on for more updates in our upcoming "What’s New" section!
What’s Up?
New name, who dis? The Training Services Portal is being renamed to the On-Demand Training Portal! Our team has been known internally as the On-Demand team, and this name change brings better alignment to the primary services the Portal offers to reduce confusion with the in-person and remote strategic and training services offered by our fantastic Consulting teams. We are still working through the rebranding process, but just know that Training Services Portal (TSP) = On-Demand Training (ODT) Portal.
New faces! We are thrilled to welcome new team members to our small but mighty On-Demand team. This past quarter, we’ve been onboarding three new team members from the Philippines.

Live Webinars
For those with a Premium subscription to the On-Demand Training Portal we are excited to share that we have added a new Live Webinar offering.
- What's New in Canvas?: Explore the latest Canvas updates designed with you in mind. We'll cover: revamped user interface for improved navigation, flexible feature options for personalized teaching, time-saving tools to simplify course management. Discover how these enhancements can transform your teaching experience. The What's New in Canvas? webinar's agenda will be adjusted based on the updates released by our product team.
Courses
This quarter has been all about updates!
- Portal Walkthrough Course: We’ve refreshed this course to reflect updates to the portal, added a new video (more to come soon), and a completion badge. The updated course will be launching soon!
- Growing with Canvas: Our free course available for import from the Canvas Commons received some love and now showcases the content refresh our Community team has been working on. Check out our “What’s Blooming with Growing with Canvas?” blog post to learn more about the course updates.
- New Quizzes Essentials: As of October 1, 2024, the New Quizzes Essentials course will no longer be available for those with free portal access and will be exclusively available to institutions with Essential, Standard, and Premium subscriptions. - Mastery Connect: We are in the final phases of updating our Getting Started with Mastery Connect training course. This course does not live in the On-Demand Training Portal but is available within Mastery Connect. How do I access Mastery Connect online professional development? As one of our largest courses, it has been all hands on deck to review and update content and training videos to reflect the new navigation and awesome analytics dashboards. We anticipate updates going live in Quarter 4.

What’s Next?
Updated Course Survey
Our team strives to continually improve our offerings, and your input plays a significant role in our course assessment and updates process. Be on the lookout for an all-new end-of-course survey. We value this feedback, and with our new survey, we aim to collect more targeted feedback to improve current content and inspire ideas for new offerings.
