As Canvas will be releasing a number of updates in January, there is no better time to check out our newest live webinar offering.
- What's New in Canvas?: Explore the latest Canvas updates designed with you in mind.
- revamped user interface for improved navigation,
- flexible feature options for personalized teaching,
- time-saving tools to simplify course management.
Discover how these enhancements can transform your teaching experience. The 'What's New in Canvas?' webinar's agenda will be adjusted based on the updates released by our product team.
Courses
This quarter has been all about updates!
- Best Practices for Course Design: In December, we released a major update to the 'Best Practices for Course Design' course. We added fresh content, hands-on activities, and lots of practical tips and examples to help ensure you design even more accessible, effective, and engaging Canvas courses. This course is available to users with a Standard or Premium Subscription Package. Unsure what package you have? Reach out to your Canvas Admin for assistance.
- Mastery Connect: In October, we released the updated 'Getting Started with Mastery Connect' training course. This course does not live in the On-Demand Training Portal but is available within Mastery Connect. How do I access Mastery Connect online professional development? With the number of updates, and it being one of our largest courses, it was an all hands on deck to review and update all of the content and training videos to reflect the new navigation and awesome analytics dashboards.
- Canvas Basics: A new On-Demand offering is now available for all portal users. The course is titled ‘Canvas Basics’ and is replacing the ‘Canvas Field Guide’ course, which has now been archived. The course will guide users through the fundamentals of Canvas, from setting up notifications to creating content and assignments, as well as how to interact with students. Learn how to leverage Canvas's powerful functionalities for a more effective and streamlined learning experience!
Other Changes
- Updated Tags: We have made it easier to find the perfect course to meet your needs! With our updated tags and filtering tool, you can quickly locate courses that match your interests and learning goals.
- Updated Congratulations Page: With the new and updated courses, we have given our course completion page a new look, and added an updated survey to gather your valuable feedback. Plus, you will find quick links to the latest product updates and releases, keeping you informed and up-to-date.

Future Updates
Get ready for an even better training portal in the new year! We are adding exciting new courses like ‘Intelligent Insights’ and refreshing some favorites, including the other courses in the Course Design and Accessibility Pathway and the Impact Product Course. This is just a glimpse of what is to come – we have even more planned to enhance your learning experience!
