Hi  @benbunny78  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

You poor thing, not a great feeling. 

The only guide that could help is this How do I archive a conversation as an instructor? 

From my research though nothing will retrieve an inbox message that's been deleted.  You could contact Canvas Support who may be able to recover it.
