This has been a recurring thread in the last week or so among Chrome users. The common thread seems to be an extension in Chrome that is causing the problem. For my wife, it was a combination of an Ad Blocker that she needed to disable to preview documents. She also had problems with the Honey extension. She had been using both of these for years without issues, but they just recently started to cause problems. Someone else in the Community said Ghostly was causing the problem.
For the ad blocker, she was able to just disable it for Canvas. For the Honey extension, she actually had to remove it from Chrome (disabling it worked for a while, but then the problem came back).
If you're using Chrome, try going into incognito mode (ShiftCtrlN) and seeing if the problem is resolved. If it works in incognito mode, it is most likely a problem with an extension or with blocked cookies.
