We use Canvas passback to sync to our SIS (PowerSchool, PowerTeacher Pro). This is the first year this has ever happened... All grades being passed back from Canvas to PTP are flagged in PTP as "collected". This includes the zeros for missing work. The zeros are still flagged as "collected". Has anyone seen this? Any advice/thoughts would be appreciated!

If you are a member of the PowerSchool community, you can VOTE to push this through as a change... It is in the Ideas Portal. Search for "collected" assignments...

Same issue here. We have found that if you enter the zero in Canvas without adding any tag it comes over to Powerschool as "collected." Collected is however, only a tag that lives in Powerschool. It exists nowhere in Canvas. If you add a "missing" tag in Canvas then it comes over as missing in Powerschool. That doesn't fix the issue, but it does provide a workaround until this issue is fixed by Canvas/Powerschool.
I am also having an issue with GPB sending a "Collected" checkmark to PowerSchool when the grade was entered as a ZERO in the Canvas Gradebook. Parents, students, and teachers are all confused (as to why this is happening and how we can quickly resolve this issue. Please help correct this ASAP and thank you for your time.

Same issue here! This is highly frustrating for parents, students and teachers alike.

I am constantly explaining that canvas does this because Parents and other teachers think I have the work and went to all the trouble to put in a zero and mark it collected, but just didn't bother to grade it. It is ridiculous.

Did anyone ever find an answer to this question?
We are currently dealing with it and trying to see if there is a setting we could turn off.
Nope. I just stopped having Canvas autopopulate the zeros. I then have to go into powerschool to put the zeros in myself, but it's less hassle so kids and parents aren't led to believe an assignment is turned in but given a zero.
