When posting grades to PowerSchool, is there a way to see a list of the assignments/quizzes, etc. posting? I only have two assignments enabled to perform the SIS posting, yet Canvas states there are 3 grades posting to my gradebook. I can't determine what the third grade is. I have disabled and enabled the function again to clear it out. It would be very helpful to generate a report or some type of list to see which assignments have SIS posting enabled.
I'm not sure of the answer to this question, but I've shared it with the K-12 and Grade Pass Back (Power School) groups in the Community.
In addition, here are two resources that might be helpful -
Hi Renee,
Canvas just released an update that I think your school may want to consider. With the release coming up January 28 all of this will be available, but I believe if you message your Success Team member they can activate it now.
PowerSchool and Canvas now have an LTI tool that makes for a better handling of the gradebook->PowerSchool connection. It does not change how the passback works, but it does allow you to view all assignments that are included in the push from Canvas to PowerSchool. If you do not want to send one of the assignments, you can edit the assignment right on the screen and remove it from the sync. It also removes the restrictions that had been in place preventing instructors from adjusting grades in previous grading periods.
I know that we have implemented this and are very excited about the improvements. Here is a link to their release notes, go to the section on SIS for more information:

The PowerSchool integration is now available as an LTI tool that improves error handling with the Gradebook and improves the PowerSchool interface. The LTI tool does not change the way Canvas passes back grades to PowerSchool.
Admins can request to have their PowerSchool integration reconfigured to the LTI tool by contacting their Canvas Customer Success Manager.
Please note that the LTI tool does not communicate student-based assignments to PowerSchool. Any assignments specified for an individual student will not be noted as an assignment error. Although the assignment will display as ready to post, the assignment will not be sent to the PowerSchool gradebook.
Matt is correct! If you reach out to your CSM they can help you install the new PS LTI that does show a list of assignments that will be posted. Thanks!
Hello rdriggers...
I wanted to check in with you because there hasn't been any new activity in this particular discussion topic since the beginning of February. Have you had a chance to review the information in @mschuring 's reply (and the confirmation from hbradford)? If so, did that help to answer your question? If it did, please go ahead and mark Matt's response as "Correct", but if you are still looking for some assistance, please post a reply below so that members of the Community can continue to help troubleshoot. For now, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered", but that won't prevent you or others from posting additional replies to this topic. I hope that's okay with you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Renee!
