Short names disappearing

I am a new admin and trying to troubleshoot an issue. We are a PowerCampus institution. I am getting an import error for several courses for a new program that says: "No short name given".  I looked at Courses.csv and I see that they are missing. I went to the Registrar and asked her if they are missing on her end, in PowerCampus. She said they are there. Somehow they are getting erased from the import file.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?
