Skyward and Due Dates: Present and Future only??

We use Skyward and I have had great success in posting grades via Canvas.   My question is about due dates...

If the due date of an assignment has passed, I am finding that it will not post to Skyward?  What is the "threshold" for dates?  Is it only present and future due dates, or is there a threshold for past grades to sync as well?

Hi! In my district, we were having issues with some grades posting to Skyward and some not. It turns out that a recent update to Skyward prevents assignment grades from being posted if the student enrollment date in the course is after the due date of the assignment. Through troubleshooting we discovered that Canvas was sending the grades as it should; Skyward agreed to fix the issue in an upcoming update.

I know this isn't the exact problem you were having, but I wonder if the Skyward update is impacting you as well? Canvas support was able to verify for us that the file was being sent correctly.

We use Skyward and Canvas in my district, and have not encountered such a problem. The only time I have seen issues is when the due date is from a previous term (either in Skyward or in Canvas).

Is it posting other assignments to Canvas, just not that one? If you are prevented from syncing an entire batch of assignments, it is likely another issue. I've noticed that if an assignment is locked until a future date, it prevents grades from posting.

I'd love to know if you found out what was causing you trouble!

It turns out there was logic in Skyward that rejected the assignment score if the assignment due date was prior to the enrollment date. From what I know Skyward was going to remove that logic in a scheduled update. It must have happened - because we don't have that issue any more Smiley Happy
