We’re continuing our work to improve the instructor assignment experience in Canvas, and we’d love your input.

We’ve created a short Maze survey where you can:

  • Explore different data visualization options we’re considering

  • Share general feedback on the assignment experience

  • Raise existing issues or pain points you’d like us to address

Your feedback will help us make assignment workflows clearer, more efficient, and more aligned with how you teach.

The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.

Take the survey now

Thank you for helping us build a better Canvas!

Hi @SamGarza1 ! How long will this survey be open? I'm planning to ask instructors at my institution to give their feedback. I don't want to them to sit on it and discover that the form has already closed... and indicative deadline will be fantastic. Thanks!

@SamGarza1 - thank you for the survey, I really like the progress with the assignment page. I completed the survey, and thinking of my experience, it would be super useful if there were an opportunity to go back and add/edit to the previous response.  There is no Back / Previous Page button, and even canceling and starting the survey over does not let you change any of previous responses.  I wish you consider adding the Back functionality to the survey.  Thank you for your work!

Thanks @SamGarza1 -

I shared with a few our colleagues and it got a good number of us talking!

I wanted to provide feedback on the survey itself. On the Welcome page, the instructions say screen sharing is an 'optional permission,' but the survey doesn’t allow one to proceed without accepting it. The instructions should clarify that it's actually required, since 'optional' may be confusing to potential respondents.
