When I use the mouse to go to the next student I'm correctly shown the next screen and next student and there is no focus for the insertion cursor, all is going as expected then bugs happen
steps
I press G and my insertion cursor is rushed to the field for the grade
I type in 4 for the student score
I hit letter J on my keybaord
result: error, letter J shows up next to 4 as in "4j"
expected result: the UX system should take me to the next student
footnotes: There is no possible way a numeric score should be 4j,
also so happy that speed grader sorting now has name(first name) or sort by last name. Both are now sort options and I am very happy to have both sorting options now. ! Thank you to the teams at Instructure.

Hi @jrowe ,

I'll discuss this with the team. Where things get tricky here is, for particular assignment types (e.g. grading scheme), "4j" actually might be a valid grade! (you could have a grading scheme that maps "4j" to 90%, for example), so we can't reject all non-numeric input. However, maybe we can address this problem in some other way. I will get back to you on this.
I also wanted to let you know that we've released some fixes and added some small additions to keyboard shortcuts in BETA (PROD soon).
Appreciate your feedback, and I'm glad you are enjoying the first name sorting! 🙂
